Fingertip hardening

Hi htere,I would like to know some clever little ideas for helping fingertips callous up quicker as I do not have the time to keep them in shape...... any suggestons???????

either practise. or soak them in vinegar- stinky but effective!!

The best players generally don't need to press that hard on the strings...

Hey Kevin, Just came back to the guitar after 30 years and yeah KNOW what you mean :) .
First of all if your guitar has a lot of high action your fingers WILL be sore no matter what but if not 3 things you can do
1. Practice for at least 10 min each day
2. Soak your fingers in 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar ( stinky)
3. get some sea salt and disolve it in hot water (keep it handy and soak for 2-3 minutes each day.
I am trying NEWSKIN ( get at (*) and its like liquid bandaids ) and painting it on my fingers ( and yeah it helps :) ) but we still gotta get those calluses growing to prevent that pain buddy :)
