What's Your Acoustic Guitar Of Choice

Love Martin guitars! Own an old 0-18 custom, and OM-21(new); have previously owned D-18 and a 000-28...have played many others. In my experience, there's nothing better for the price.

if im playing a 6 string, i go for my martin OM1E. if im playing a 12 string, i go for my guild GAD-JF3012E.

I only have a yamaha fg720sl because I'm lefty. It sounds good, even it is not an expensive model.

I love the sound of an old Martin but can only afford the likes of Takamine which I own the eg334ce and from trying out many others that are more expensive it comes the closest to it.

I play a Yamaha acoustic-style guitar (have no idea what model it is) with electrical controls when I wish to play amplified. The guitar has good tone but the neck action is (*) than perfect. The favourite guitar I own is a gypsy-style acoustic called Cigano. I play it several times a day and write almost all my music using it. A guitar that I don't own but impresses me like no other is the entire Stonebridge line, built by Furch in the Czech Republic. They have incredible action, are very well built and have great tone. Check Youtube and look for Richard Smith playing Stonebridge guitars to see what I mean.

currently using a fender fg65. Even though everyone tells me not to get fender guitars Ive already gone through 4 of them

You are going to love this ... I have a Maton now that is most likely the best sounding guitar I've ever played, The best sounding guitar that I have recorded is a Martin D28,(Pre war) not easy - but the overall winner is an old "beach" guitar, with a name nobody has ever heard of "ProfiELF" that I picked up as one of my first guitars back in 1981. As the years went by, the woods, or what there was of them all settled into a lovely sounding finger style guitar - so much so that I still use it today..no mic pick-up , no preamp, strings are only half an inch from the fret board.. but ultimately it's the best instrument I have ever held , had and played. I love it...

Currently what i have is a Morgan Monroe M55-V....it's made in China, but the guitar but sounds wonderful, especially with new strings. I had banged around for years and my wife bought me this one for Chrstmas two years ago, and it opened doors for me to want to become a serious player. I'm looking for a new acoustic-electric but the Morgan Monroe will always be dear to me, and will always be my go-to instrument. I've spent many a winter night in front of the fire learning the art of melody with it!
